Terms of Service

Last updated: 23 June 2026

These terms govern your use of Screen Stage, including the free in-browser tool at screenstage.io and the paid Screen Stage application for macOS (“the App”). By using the tool or buying a license, you agree to them.

1. Your license

A purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use Screen Stage on the number of Macs included in your plan (Annual and Lifetime: 2 Macs; Studio: 5 Macs, with a commercial license for client work). You may not resell, redistribute, or share your license key.

2. Payments and refunds

All sales are final. Screen Stage is a digital product delivered instantly, so we do not offer refunds. Because you can try the full experience for free in your browser before buying, we ask that you make sure Screen Stage is right for you first — and we’re happy to answer any questions before you purchase. Payments are processed by Polar, our merchant of record, who also handles applicable taxes; any payment dispute or chargeback is subject to Polar’s and the relevant card network’s policies.

3. Free in-browser version

The browser tool is provided free for you to try, and its exports carry a watermark. Entering a valid license key removes the watermark. Please don’t attempt to bypass the watermark or the licensing.

4. Acceptable use

You’re responsible for the content you load into Screen Stage and for having the right to use it. Don’t use Screen Stage for anything unlawful, or to infringe someone else’s rights.

5. Privacy

Screen Stage runs locally — your screenshots, recordings, and on-device AI stay on your machine and are not uploaded. The website uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to count visits and clicks.

6. No warranty & limitation of liability

Screen Stage is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the maker is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, and total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your license.

7. Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time; the “last updated” date above will reflect any changes. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
